SIG Program Staff

Site Coordinator | Site Director | Faculty | Program Assistants

Site Coordinator

Each site has a Site Coordinator who is a full-time senior SIG staff member working year-round in the Stamford, CT, SIG office. This person coordinates all of the pre-program planning and is available to speak with parents and students who have specific questions about a particular site.

Site Director

Each site has a Site Director who is an experienced educator with both teaching and administrative experience. As a highly trained and talented professional, the director works closely with the staff to provide a safe and stimulating environment for learning.

Faculty

The Summer Institute for the Gifted-Day Program faculty is comprised of dedicated professionals from many fields. These professionals include educators of the gifted, professional practitioners, and experts from specific fields. They provide the best possible academic experience for each SIG-DP student. The instructional staff consists of individuals who have attended workshops and educational programs focusing on strategies for educating the academically gifted student.

Program Assistants

In addition to the faculty, program assistants, who are advanced high school students, provide support in the classroom. They assist the instructors in the classroom and act as role models for the students. They also supervise the recreational program.

Moorestown Friends School, boasts a 40-acre campus with exceptional academic facilities. It also includes seven all-purpose playing fields and five tennis courts.

Academic Program
Courses are taught at levels appropriate for academically gifted students in Kindergarten through sixth grade, covering humanities, mathematics and sciences, and multi-disciplinary courses.
